Xander Pratt is a multi-faceted Ghanaian artist. Based in Casablanca for two years, this singer, photographer and fashion designer lives in a universe of overflowing imagination. Meet him.
The Ghanaian artist Xander Pratt, 30 years old, was living in Australia. Two years ago, he left the island-continent to move to Morocco. And it is in Casablanca that he fails. The ties he forges there and his overflowing imagination lead to several creative projects.
A multi-faceted artist, Xander is a musician, photographer, fashion designer and writer. “The world is a fantasy,” he confided in an interview with Le360, on the sidelines of the release of his video Casablanca, and the preparation of the release of his album Train to Marrakech, scheduled for 2022.
He therefore decided to unveil part of this visual album, as he describes it, first through the single Casablanca, whose clip was directed by filmmaker Ahmed Akssas, aka Actarus. “This metropolis inspired me a lot. So I reproduced a beat of an artist friend of mine and I made it my own by giving it life in this Casablanca atmosphere made of sounds, colors, noises that have fed my creativity, including in my clothing collections, “he says.
Xander Pratt defines himself as an Unidentified Object, fully aware that owning and practicing several artistic disciplines at the same time while maintaining a constant rhythm of creativity is extraordinary.
To achieve this, one must always, according to Xander Pratt, be convinced that what one sees and develops as a vision, a point of view, is systematically realized. It is a positive spirit that cradles Xander Pratt and that is transmitted through his attitude and his joyful air that no one seems to be able to take away from him.
Always with a smile on his face, his eyes shining, Xander Pratt shows himself and imposes himself as an unflappable being in front of the anxious situations of contemporary life. A whole philosophy that Xander Pratt, still unknown in Morocco, comes to distill in the sky of Casablanca.
